When a simple fix works wonders

It may sound unbelievable to almost all people who are practical minded, till the time you can see it for yourself. But the fact remains that, it seems like something impossible has happened for me.

A diode bridge and almost two meters of wire made me a genius, sort of.
In my humble opinion, I am a foolish fella who could be duped by anyone who has the right killer instincts. But, I can't say that for the simple electronics that has me fooled.

I have been able to get a emergency light working almost indefinitely with a run down battery that would otherwise be able to make it work for less time. If you ask me, it works to keep that same light lit bright, with the same exact electronic circuit for just over 97 seconds.

Conventional electronics and other sciences that may try and explain the wonder I may have replicated or discovered may like to keep a low profile because the theory to explain it simply may not be there, yet.
If you just allow me a little time and a space in your mental thought process that helps you understand reality and puzzles, i am sure you might agree as per your capacity.

This is what I got after I switched off the a.c. supply powering the small emergency light. 

The battery was degraded so the emergency light l.e.d.s provided usable reading light for about two minutes. After two minutes it was so dim that I had to look closely at the dim l.e.d.s to confirm whether they were working or not.

After adding the electric contraption I had devised to keep the battery charged for a longer time, the same emergency light kept the same l.e.d. light burning brighter for over 120 minutes. After that, I switched off the light by disconnecting the wires to the battery .

I had a multimeter connected so that i could keep checking voltage. When I disconnected the electric contraption( let's call it a powertaker)  I had devised, it kept giving dismal results. The 'powertaker' kept the battery going at a steady voltage immediately on being connected. This happened each and every time I disconnected and reconnected the earth wire. This means that the earth wire was acting like the power wire for the emergency light.

So let us summarize. According to me, Maybe someone called Hubbard could have made something similar. We don't know for sure.
The only thing we can be sure of is this. The powertaker allows the battery that has reached it's 'End Of Life' to power an emergency light for over 120 minutes after power supplied to it gets cut off.

Also remember that this same EOL battery keeps that same light working properly for a mere 2 minutes without the powertaker. Is this proof enough for you? It is for me. Ask for a demo and it will be done at my convenience. I am in Kolkata in India.
